Grey & blue / Wind & sun.

Image
I love this huge wool hand-knitted scarf . Was a gift from a dear friend and we bought many years ago in Michoacan , México together with the matching purse. In dark tones of blue and gray, thick woven by hand spun wool and held in a small family factory where many other fabrics and hand loom products are made. Thick, warm, furry and soft, is almost the only shelter I need these  sunny but still windy days. Grey & blue Mittens : Accezorize / Purple  turtleneck jersey: Zara / denim skirt: Zara / Ankle boots : Dinsko / Grey...

Lucky, lucky me

Image
Combining a colorful print with black usually goes right. This skirt was a fortunate second hand found, very useful for the mid-season, and the long black jacket was given to me by a dear friend that didn't fit on it anymore, and the cardigan, pure virgin wool and second hand too! So just another lucky outfit with a bit of these and that.

Autumn walks

Image
The beauty of autumn colours can lift any spirit. Definitely one of my favourite things on life, a long walk at the end of the afternoon, during the golden hour . Not cold yet, just a bit chilli with the trees like in flames, just burning in front of us. The yellow and reddish carpet everywhere you step and the sound of the leaves crunching under your feet . Sunny, colourful, crispy days which are p erfect, just perfect. Black Chinese tunic- dress: Indiska / Beige mini trench-coat...

Nor preppy, nor Pippi

Image
N ow, with the summer around the corner, it is a good moment to go out for a walk and enjoy the nice weather, maybe seating in a beach at the park  with a book  or just having a coffee and enjoying looking at the people passing by, all of them happy to finally having get ride of the heavy coats.   This outfit is perfect for being comfortable the entire journey:  bowling style casual shoes, stripped long stocking  with  a  preppy  air (o maybe  just a  wink to Pippi)  a  cone- shape  skirt in denim, a simple  T-shirt  and a light cardigan. The  accessories  are made of “chaquira” ( little  glass beads widely used  in   Mexican   handicraft  items  since  XVIII century) so  colourful  that always make me smile an put  character  in any  outfit.

Indoor fun

Image
Here, the spring is not exactly time for short sleeves or beachwear, but at least we can put away the snow boots and the heavy coats, and maybe wear an open back dress. So although this weekend was raining a bit (that's why the pictures are indoor) I manage to get a couple of shoots to celebrate the first pair of heels I am able to wear this year. I used to call the red one, my “good luck dress” and I can remember    indeed, some  night out with lots of fun. The black-and-white one, was a birthday present few years ago but to this day is still one of my favourites. And that's it, I am just enjoying the de-icing of the streets, the enlargement of daylight, and of course preparing the new season outfits.

Another hat for another season

Image
This three-colour cap (black-white-gray) is very suitable for spring when suede cannot be ruined by snow but you still need some wind and mildly protection.    The so call newsboy cap has a very similar style to the flat cap, but it is sewn together not from the back but from the top of the hat.  It may also be referred to as a baker boy hat, an eight panel, gatsby cap bandit cap, apple cap, eight piece cap, eight panel, cabbie, fisherman's cap, pageboy, apple-jack hat, Lundberg Stetson, Dr.Chiz hat, and the poor boy cap.    Somewhere between Oliver Twist or The g reat Gatsby, I like this old fashioned touch blending with purple, grey, lilac and black.

Old fashion date night

Image
I use to love to wear costumes when I was a little girl and of course that has not disappear at all. I found this burgundy hat in a second hand charity shop and was love at the first sight. I decided to use it for a formal night out, with an also vintage lace dress, my old and heavy Astrakhan coat, pearls, and long gloves of course.  I had fun, cocktails, lovely companion and my costume made me felt a bit in one of my favourite black and white movies. Not exactly “La dolce Vita”, but “All about Eve” neither.
