Golden and red leaves

Temperatures are considerably lower but autumn colors are most glorious in Nordic October. Some rainfall, chilly breeze, but also about 3 hours of sunshine every day.  At night, you are likely to see frost needles in trees blown there by the breath of fog creating a momentary world of cold magic.
 
 The weather may not be appealing to most, but see-sights are amazing and the city nevertheless remains festive. Comfortable shoes for long walks, sales season, chocolate pecan scones, music festivals, beautiful nature, warmth garments, gloves and scarves. I’m not missing summer, but there still time...
 
 La temperatura ha caido considerablemente, pero los colores otoñales estan espectaculares en este octubre nórdico. Algo de lluvia y viento frío, pero tambien brilla el sol tres horas aún cada día. Por las noches, agujas de hielo presagiando el invierno que vendrá, se forman en las ramas y brillan entre la niebla que disipa el día.


Este clima podrá no gustarle a algunos pero las vistas son hermosas y la ciudad aún se mira alegre. Calzado cómodo para largas caminatas sobre las hojas caídas, rebajas de temporada, pan dulce de nuez con chocolate, festivales de música, naturaleza radiante, ropa abrigada, guantes y bufandas. 
Confieso que no extraño el verano, todavía…

Nicely flat

Lots of them wore beige trench coats and those flat caps that made them look like boys who sold newspapers a hundred years ago. —  A.J. Cattapan   Flat caps were used in England since 14th century,  and their use was even mandatory for a while. This item became really trendy in the 20's, specially among workers and news boys, and was recently popularized by hip-hop culture.    This one tartan flat cap is form the traditional Obach Hat Shop in Barcelona ( http://www.barretsobach.com/ ) and is one of my spring favourites.       Las boinas planas pueden rastrearle hasta la Inglaterra del siglo 14th, país en el que su uso incluso fué obligatorio por un tiempo. Autumn walks

The beauty of autumn colours can lift any spirit. Definitely one of my favourite things on life, a long walk at the end of the afternoon, during the golden hour . Not cold yet, just a bit chilli with the trees like in flames, just burning in front of us. The yellow and reddish carpet everywhere you step and the sound of the leaves crunching under your feet . Sunny, colourful, crispy days which are p erfect, just perfect. Los bellos colores de otoño siempre me levantan el animo. Es una de mis cosas favoritas en la vida, una larga caminata de preferencia durante la hora dorada al final de la t arde. Los arboles que parecen arder en llamas, el camino alfombrado de amarillo y ocre, el viento ligero pero todavía no tan frio como vendrá.
