T hese days, the beginning of the spring, still chilly but no more snowfalls, ice or whiting out, th e neutral zone between snow and green trees. And neutral climate ideal for classic colours; camel coats are a must-have in this transitional weather, totally timeless, seriously versatile, in short a wardrobe essential. J ust a couple of weeks ago I was complaining about the snow and within ten days has almost disappeared! A remind er of a basic physics law: the water will melt no matter what if the temperature stays above zero (the water cycle, indeed !) . So it i s time to stay optimistic watching the parade of people coming out hibernation mood , time to enjoying sunny mornings and the brand new season. S till chilly of course , but we can now easily step out in to the nature due to the longest days. I love walking crushing melting ice and listening the music of running water !  And today I was able to ditch the heavy coats but had to keep mittens and leg warmers, just in case. T his crazy time of the year where wearing bright colours, and sunglasses is enough to make anybody smile, right? This winter days seems to last forever. After so many weeks of clouds, snow boots and heavy jackets , black ice and dark mood, we really need a bit of sunshine.  So, while the rest of the world is waiting for the next season and update their wardrobe, here (where the spring is coming only in the shop windows displays and the advertis ments ) we still enjoy snowmens , ice skating, gløgg wine and long nights . And of course we still get to wear or favourite winter coat, and the new fuchsia leather gloves. Cheers for the long winter! And looking forward the next season! Norwegians have been expert knitters for centuries, a necessity in their cold climate. The Nordic sweaters and cardigans are very traditional and popular with hundreds of different designs available. I have always been fascinated by hats, caps, berets and everything covering my head . One of the few things I enjoy about Nordic winter is I have the chance to wear a different one every day. I started over-using them as a child and I have accumulated quite a diverse and colourful collection, many of them gift from people who know me well and they are always a hit. Although this was not the first snow fall this year, certainly looks like because the snow was not washed out for the rain just few hours later. Cold days, the rush of holiday shopping and the streets covered with dirty snow.   The city in grey is the perfect scenario for this bright orange wool parka, a very good add to a winter wardrobe.
